Children, Youth & Families Pastor

Leominster Baptist Church is a growing evangelical church in the historic market town of Leominster with a simple vision:
Helping everyone, everywhere have an everyday relationship with Jesus.

We are seeking a passionate and gifted Children, Youth & Families Pastor to help lead and develop our ministry among children, young people and families.
​
This is an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming church where children and young people are valued as an important part of the church today. Around 180 people gather each Sunday, including approximately 30–35 children and young people, while our Parent & Toddler ministry connects with around 20-30 families each week.
​
Rather than simply maintaining existing programmes, we are looking for someone who will help build a culture of discipleship by investing in volunteers, supporting parents, developing leaders and helping children and young people become lifelong followers of Jesus.

The Role
The successful candidate will:
• Provide leadership and oversight across our children's, youth and families ministry.
• Recruit, equip and encourage volunteers.
• Help develop a clear discipleship pathway for children and young people.
• Support parents and carers in nurturing faith at home.
• Build relationships within the church and wider community.
• Help children and young people become active participants in the life and mission of the church.

The role is available on either a full-time or part-time basis (minimum 22.5 hours per week). We are committed to shaping the role around the successful candidate's gifts, experience and agreed working hours.

• Love Jesus and demonstrate a growing Christian faith.
• Have a passion for helping children, young people and families grow as disciples.
• Enjoy developing volunteers and building healthy ministry teams.
• Be able to provide clear leadership while working collaboratively with others.
• Share the vision and values of Leominster Baptist Church.
