Capernwray

We have just had another great visit from a group of students from Capernwray Bible College – they spent a busy ten days visiting local schools, helping out at church events, leading worship during services and at prayer meetings, sharing their testimonies and getting to know Leominster and its surrounds.  It is so inspiring to meet such an awesome group of young people from all around the world who have a great desire to serve God and share his Good News with everyone they meet.

“A huge thank you to the knitting group at Leominster Baptist Church for the teddies to give to distressed children who have to attend the Police station. The group knit for really good causes, so if you have any spare wool folks, take it to church! #knittingmission”
The group meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 2 p.m. – open to all, whether beginners or experts!!!

Life Illuminated 2018

There was fun for all the family at our annual event which we held this year on Wednesday 31st October as a light-filled alternative to Halloween. Around 100 people enjoyed crafts, face painting, nail painting, music and games along with a barbecue and copious amounts of hot chocolate.

Chairs on the move again!

It’s worth reflecting on how often the chairs get moved around in the church due to the many and varied activities that happen each week – here they are today being put back after Job Club ready for Choral Society in the evening. Then on Friday they will move around again to make space for Coffee Morning before being put back ready for Saturday’s anniversary service. And as these particular chairs were going back, the tables from Job Club were being put out in the back room ready for this afternoon’s cream tea. Still, it keeps us fit and is cheaper than gym membership!!!
